"Appointment Canceled Just Hours Ahead..."
My appointment got canceled by the company only a few hours prior to when it was supposed to happen, and shockingly, there were no repercussions. But if I were to cancel my appointment a day ahead, they’d hit me with a $50 fee. What a great policy, huh?

"Absolutely the Worst Service I've Ever Encountered"
The service I received was just awful, featuring a technician who clearly didn’t know what he was doing and a customer service rep who was not only unhelpful but also seemed clueless. I was in a bind without the right tools or time to tackle a broken part of my car, so I ended up hiring another technician for the job. I had initially thought Repair Smith might be a fresh player in the automotive repair scene with fair prices, but boy, was I wrong for not checking out some of the helpful reviews on sites like Trustpilot.
In the end, I managed to fix the issue myself, something the mechanic from Repair Smith couldn’t even grasp. He didn’t even recognize the difference between my car brand and another that starts with the same letter. I ended up spending just a third of what Repair Smith quoted me, which included the cost of tools, parts, and my time. This wasn’t the original estimate, but a higher one after the mechanic did a quick and superficial check of my vehicle. I’m no certified mechanic, but maybe I should throw my hat in the ring for that job.
The whole ordeal was a total drain on my time and energy. To make matters worse, Repair Smith quietly took over $150 as a holding fee without giving me a heads-up, and I had to reach out to a frustratingly unhelpful customer service rep just to get some clarity.
It seems Repair Smith isn’t the game-changer they claim to be; instead, they’re just adding to the already shaky reputation of many mechanic shops. Honestly, they come off as a bothersome and annoying automotive repair scam on a larger scale. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re trying to spread the negative vibes of the industry even further.
That said, maybe they’re okay for simple stuff like oil changes and basic maintenance, as long as the prices make sense, despite what they say.
But nah, I’ve already made my mistake and paid for it, so I won’t be going back to Repair Smith. They lack any sense of dignity or integrity, and their promises are just empty words.

"This warranty is a total scam and completely useless."
I got my car fixed by Repair Smith on 08/27/2022 because of a problem with the cooling system. Sadly, I ran into the same issue today and thought I’d reach out to them to see if the warranty would cover it.
At first, I was told that the warranty didn’t count since the last visit was marked as a cooling system diagnosis. I pushed back to the 'customer service' rep, saying it was a repair, as the notes showed.
In the end, they said the warranty did cover it, but there would be a service charge to send someone out. Funny enough, this charge was exactly what Repair Smith had billed me for the original repair. It looks like the warranty is pretty much useless, and they’re just trying to milk customers who actually want to use it.

"Timely Service at a Fair Price"
I had to get the serpentine belt swapped out on my VW and also needed an oil change. So, I hit up Google to find these services and stumbled upon RepairSmith. I got a quote and was really surprised to see it was just half of what my local shop charged and a quarter of what the dealer wanted for the belt replacement. The oil change was a tad pricey, but honestly, the time I saved made it totally worth it. While the mechanic worked at my place, I could keep on with my job and make some cash. I put in the service request around 6 AM, and Leo showed up right on time at 8:30. He wrapped everything up by 9:30. From now on, I’m definitely going with RepairSmith whenever I can here in Miami, FL.

"Let's chat about their lack of competence."
I want to share my experience with their incompetence. I had set up an appointment to get my brake pads changed.
1. To my surprise, they totally overlooked my appointment and left me waiting for hours on end. Sadly, this isn’t the first time it’s happened; it seems to be a recurring issue.
2. They finally turned up a few days later, which was a bit of a relief. But, they couldn’t finish the job since they didn’t have the right BMW lug nut. Instead, they used my own, which ended up getting sheared off. They only managed to swap out the driver’s side pad and couldn’t do anything for the passenger side. It was yet another letdown.
3. I thought I’d give them another shot and scheduled a new appointment for noon. They called to confirm they had everything they needed and were ready to roll. But, they showed up at 4:30pm and told me they still didn’t have the 'BMW' lug nut. They left without doing the work.
In just one week, I wasted 8 hours of my precious time. All I wanted was to get my brake pads sorted.
To put it bluntly, those 8 hours cost me about $3600. That’s how much I lost because of their incompetence. I should’ve just gone to the dealer. Long story short, I won’t be using this company again.

"Avoid this company at all costs!"
This company is truly the worst I've ever had to deal with. They’ve missed our scheduled appointments five times now. Just so you know, if you miss an appointment, they hit you with a $50 charge. Yet, even with all their screw-ups, they only gave us two $25 discounts. On the bright side, they did throw in a one-time $75 discount when I first booked our appointment. I got an initial quote of $601.93, but after their third no-show, they sent me a new quote for $750.01. Communicating with them is a real headache. Just a heads up, they’re located in Los Angeles. I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear of this company! They’re a total scam.

"Total Scam Alert!"
The car dealer who sold me my vehicle is a total scam. I was told I had to set up an appointment for someone to come to my place and sort out the issue I was facing. So, the guy actually showed up, took my car for a spin, and then I drove it alongside him. I could clearly hear the noise, but he claimed he didn’t hear a thing. He didn’t even take off the tire to see if there was a problem. He just took off. Later on, I found a charge on my account labeled as a 'diagnostic check fee.' Honestly, I could’ve done what he did and saved myself some cash. I swear, I’m never using this company’s services again, not in a million years. Who offers such awful repair service? They really ought to be called out for being a total scam!
"Scheduled Service Went Nowhere"
I had set up a front brake service, but it just didn’t go down as expected. I spent the whole morning waiting at home, only to get a call from Thomas saying he couldn’t do the job because he couldn’t get in touch with me. To my surprise, he then said he checked out my driveway and decided his work van wouldn’t fit, without even trying to knock on my door. It was obvious I was home since my living room window looks right out at the driveway. Thomas claimed that even if he could get into my driveway, he wouldn’t be able to do the service because his tools were too heavy to haul. Basically, he canceled my appointment and wasted my time this morning because he didn’t want to lug his tools around and seemed reluctant to knock on my door, calling it a 'safety issue.'
I’m really scratching my head over what this 'safety issue' could be. I’ve got an open fence, no pets or animals around, and it can’t be about COVID-19 since Thomas wasn’t even wearing a mask. There were no visible dangers at my place either. Maybe, as a white guy, Thomas felt uneasy about knocking on the door of a black woman. Either way, I’m super disappointed and I won’t be using Repair Smith again.

"Got my spark plugs swapped, but what a hassle!"
I called up RepairSmith to swap out my spark plugs because my engine was misfiring. Sadly, they put in some really cheap plugs, and I ended up having them return twice, but the problem just wouldn’t go away. I was so fed up that I had to find another company to fix what I already paid RepairSmith to do. Luckily, the second crew managed to sort it out without any issues.

"Scheduled a car inspection for my vehicle..."
I arranged for an inspection of the car I bought, and the guy told me it passed with flying colors. But the very next day, my car wouldn’t start. I texted him, and he suggested I place another order for him to come out. Instead, I decided to go with another company, and they gave me a totally different evaluation. It turned out my battery was bad and the brake fluid needed changing. I really recommend steering clear of this awful company and their shady practices.

"What a ridiculous situation!"
Let me tell you, based on what the customer (who ain't a mechanic) asks to be swapped out, that's precisely what they do. They don't think about any other possible reasons for your car running hot. The mechanics just switch out the thermostat, take your cash, and send you on your way. Fast forward three days, and I'm facing the same overheating issue again. Another tech comes in and correctly identifies a blown head gasket. I take my ride to a full-service repair shop, and they also confirm the blown head gasket. You'd think RepairSmith would refund me the $425 for the perfectly good thermostat and charge me for the second visit and diagnosis, which totals $210. But nope, that's not how it works. Apparently, it's on me because I said I THOUGHT it was a thermostat problem, and the mechanic is acting on my guess. They don't have to dig deeper unless I specifically ASK and PAY for a diagnostic fee. Ain't that just maddening?

"Needed new tires, and guess what I found..."
I was on the hunt for some new tires and was really happy to find out that RepairSmith not only does on-site mechanical work but also takes care of tire installation. The technician, Marques, was assigned to my truck. He showed up right on time and got to work straight away. He did a fantastic job, and the pricing was reasonable. Unlike the big chain stores, I didn’t have to leave my vehicle for a day or two, wondering when I’d see it again. I can’t recommend RepairSmith enough. This is definitely the way forward for quick vehicle maintenance with hardly any wait.

"Absolutely Awful Experience - Fake Reviews Everywhere"
Honestly, I’d rate this place a big fat zero. It feels like all the reviews are just made up. There’s no way that 4.9 rating on Google is real.
I ran into some trouble with my Mercedes, had a couple of misfiring codes pop up. So, I thought I’d book an appointment for spark plug and coil A replacements. Being a Mercedes owner, I called to check if their techs were certified, and they promised me they were.
When the appointment day rolled around, a guy named JOEL showed up and had no clue about my car. He didn’t even know where to begin and came without the right tools. At one point, he even put a part in upside down, making my car worse! Now, it’s throwing five codes instead of just two. I made sure to document everything before and during the whole mess. Thanks a lot, Repair Smith, for such awful service!

"Quality has really taken a hit."
Back in November 2021, we used their services and had a fantastic experience, which is why I reached out to them again today. They gave me a quote of $1081 before tax for swapping out the alternator. The part alone costs $254, and they mentioned an hour of labor. When I asked about the big difference in price compared to other estimates I had, they said it was because they included a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. Basically, they were tacking on an extra $700 for that warranty. When I pressed them on this, the chat just ended out of nowhere.

"Terrible Experience with Customer Service!"
The customer service here is just plain terrible! I had an appointment set for this morning and made it clear to the repair guy that my car was in the garage. I was told he’d be informed. But when he showed up in a big van (this has happened before, mind you), he acted all grumpy over the phone just because my vehicle was parked inside. After a bit of back and forth, he finally came in. Even though I told him the battery was dead, he tried to jump-start it, but it shut off on him twice. He kept that bad attitude the whole time. Then, out of nowhere, he picked up his phone and walked off without saying a word. I had to ask him where he was headed, and that’s when he told me he was canceling the appointment. This is a prime example of truly awful customer service.
